POKOTABI / Nanamaru
ななまる
At Nanamaru, an izakaya in Kami-Ikebukuro, enjoy sake and beer in a calm setting alongside comforting small plates and intriguing sashimi paired with transparent soy sauce and wasabi.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
At Nanamaru, sashimi arrives accompanied by what looks like ordinary clear liquids: transparent soy sauce and clear wasabi. The deceptive simplicity gives way to full, robust flavors on the palate, and the meticulous attention paid right down to the garnishes naturally encourages another sip of sake.
A variety of small plates designed to be enjoyed bite by bite complements the drinks, making it easy to settle in with a pour of sake or a glass of beer. The relaxed, quiet atmosphere welcomes those having a solitary evening drink just as warmly.
Except on Wednesdays, the pub stays open late from 19:00 in the evening until 1:00 the following morning, making it convenient for late-night gatherings. Seat reservations are accepted, and bills can be paid using PayPay.
